These terms apply to reservations at La Estancia Busuanga and to the use of this website. We have tried to write them the way we would explain them to you in person.
When you confirm a reservation — through this website, by email, or by message — you enter into an agreement with La Estancia Busuanga, Sitio Cabilbil, New Busuanga, Busuanga, Palawan 5317, Philippines. The person making the booking must be at least eighteen years old and accepts these terms on behalf of everyone in the party.
Rates on this website are quoted in Philippine pesos and are shown for a two-night stay, which is the shortest stay we recommend. Rates vary by season and by room type, and the rate confirmed at the time of booking is the rate that applies.
A room-only rate includes your accommodation, a private balcony, use of the swimming pool, sauna and yoga deck, free use of kayaks, paddle boards, snorkelling gear and fishing poles, Wi-Fi, and daily housekeeping. Meals, airport transfers and island tours are not included in a room-only rate.
Rates are based on two guests sharing, unless the room description states otherwise. Each additional adult or child is charged ₱1,000 per person per night, which includes their meals. Occupancy limits for each room are set out on the Rooms page and cannot be exceeded.
Our Island Experience and Honeymoon Island packages include all meals, roundtrip Busuanga Airport transfers and the island tours listed on the package page. Anything not listed is arranged separately and charged as used.
We ask for a minimum of two nights. Reaching us takes the better part of a day, and a single night rarely does the journey justice. Exclusive-use bookings of the whole property carry a minimum of three nights. We may waive the minimum at our discretion in quiet periods — please just ask.
Reservations made through our booking engine are confirmed with secure card payment at the time of booking. For packages, exclusive-use bookings and group reservations we will confirm the deposit amount and payment schedule with you in writing before your booking is held.
Any balance outstanding, together with incidental charges for drinks, tours, spa treatments and the like, is settled before departure. We accept card and cash in Philippine pesos.
We are a sixteen-room property. A cancelled room is rarely resold at short notice, which is why our terms are firmer than a city hotel's — and why we would always rather move your dates than lose you altogether.
The cancellation terms that apply to your reservation are the ones shown to you at the point of booking, or confirmed in writing for packages and exclusive-use stays. Requests to change dates are accommodated wherever we can, subject to availability and any difference in seasonal rate.
Cancellations must be sent in writing to reservations@laestanciabusuanga.com. The date we receive your email is the date we use.
If you do not arrive and have not told us, we treat the booking as a no-show and the full stay is charged. If you leave early, the remaining nights are charged. Please tell us your flight or ferry details in advance so we can time your transfer — if your travel is delayed, let us know and we will hold your arrival and your dinner.
Busuanga is reached by air and sea, and both are occasionally disrupted by weather. Cancelled flights and ferries are outside our control and are a matter between you and your carrier. We will always do our utmost to move your dates rather than hold you to a cancellation in genuine weather disruption, and we strongly recommend travel insurance that covers it.
Boat trips and water activities are run at the discretion of our team and the boat captain, and may be moved or cancelled for safety. Where we cancel an activity you have paid for and cannot reschedule it during your stay, we refund it.
Check-in is from 2:00pm and check-out is by 12:00 noon. Earlier arrivals and later departures are usually possible when the room allows — tell us your flight times and we will do what we can. Please confirm exact times with us when you book.
We are a quiet resort on a quiet coast, and most guests come here precisely for that. We ask that you keep noise low after 10:00pm, respect the privacy of other guests, and take the reef and mangroves as seriously as we do.
Children of all ages are welcome and families are a large part of who stays with us. Children remain the responsibility of the accompanying adults at all times, particularly around the pool, the wharf and the water. The Family Villa and Deluxe Rooms are best suited to families.
Meals are prepared fresh and served family-style, and tend to be generous with meat and freshly caught fish. Please tell us about allergies, intolerances, vegetarian or vegan diets, and religious requirements at the time of booking so our kitchen can plan properly — we cannot always accommodate requests made on arrival.
Please bring any prescription medication you rely on. The nearest hospital is in Coron Town and the nearest pharmacy is a drive away. Tell us in advance of any medical condition or mobility need that would affect how we look after you.
You are responsible for any loss or damage caused to the property, its furnishings or its equipment by you or anyone in your party, and we may charge the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
We take reasonable care of our guests and their belongings, but we cannot accept liability for loss or damage to personal property, or for injury, except where it results from our own negligence. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent third parties — airlines, ferry operators, drivers and external tour providers — that we arrange on your behalf as an agent.
Reservations of the whole property are made under a separate written agreement covering the rate, deposit schedule, cancellation terms, guest numbers, event arrangements and any supplier access. Where that agreement differs from these terms, that agreement prevails.
We occasionally photograph the resort for our own website and social media. We will not knowingly publish a recognisable image of you without your permission — tell any member of our team if you would rather not appear, and we will respect it without question.
We take care to keep rates, descriptions and photographs accurate, but content on this website is for information and does not form part of a contract until we confirm your booking in writing. Photographs are of our actual property. Obvious errors in price or description do not bind us, and we will contact you before proceeding if one occurs.
The text, photographs and design of this website belong to La Estancia Busuanga and may not be reproduced without our permission. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and any dispute falls to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Palawan. Before anything reaches a court, we would much rather you called us.
Write to reservations@laestanciabusuanga.com or call or message +63 956 321 8019. We are a small family team and we answer personally, usually within one working day.
Please have this reviewed. These terms were drafted as a solid, honest starting point, but they are not legal advice. Ask a Philippine lawyer to check them against your actual rates, deposit handling and insurance before you take bookings under them.
A family-run private island retreat on the unspoiled western coast of Busuanga, Palawan.
A few times a year we send quiet news from the island — seasonal rates, and the occasional set of dates worth flying for.
